In our college mainly concentrate on educating the women and develop their attitudes and skills. In this cell we are giving lot of opportunities to improve them.

  1. Counseling Cell
  • Proper counseling and moral instruction in the adolescent age alone can help to take the youngsters in the righteous path and prevent many going astray.
  • Our faculty members had attended the “ TrainingProgramme on Psycho – Educational Skills for College Teachers” organized by District Administration and National Rural Health Mission.
  • The faculty members have been nominated to take care of the Academic development and benefit of the students for the year.
  • Counseling cell was inaugurated on 10.12.2014
  • The students can obtain the guidance regarding curricular, extracurricular activities and about their academic performance and psychological Counseling from the faculty members.
  • Counseling has been given to the students  every week.
  • At present the students approach the faculty to overcome their academic and personal problems.

  • Red Cross Association activities will enable students to develop a humanitarian outlook and work for the cause of society.
  • To create and provide opportunity to the zeal of volunteerism among youth to contribute towards the control and prevention of HIV&AIDS, Red Ribbon Club has been formed in our institution. The red Ribbon Club is a voluntary on-campus intervention program for our students.

  • Youth represent a substantial part of the membership of Red cross for its humanitarian commitment. Young volunteers can make a significant contribution to meeting the needs of the most vulnerable people within their local communities through Red cross youth programme. This has been designed to involve young people as much as possible in the movement and its activities not only as workers and also as beneficiaries but as partners in management.
  • The programme focuses on the following areas:
  • Promote life and health through training and education on safety. Primary health care and healthy living.
    2. Encourage community service through training and education.
    3. Disseminate the seven fundamental Principles of Red cross and Red Crescent movement through activities that encourage the Red cross ideals.
    4. Promote international friendship with activities that cultivate a humanitarian spirit.
    5. Technical support in the develp[ment of youth programmes fund raising identification of material and human resources.
  • The youth unit aims to have young people recognized by socities leadership as equal partners who address the needs of the most vulnerable.

Citizenship Training Camp aims at developing social skills and civic sense.

To inculcate the qualities like team spirit, leadership quality, imitativeness, self-confidence and decision- making skill, this training programmed is conducted.

Every department or subject has its own club, aimed at offering opportunities for creative assimilation and updating knowledge in the respective field of education. Having teachers as advisors, these clubs offer ample opportunities to develop and display their talents in panel discussions, debates, essay writing, brain storming sessions, symposia and elocution.

The club activities provide first hand experiences to the learner as they participate in the model working, arrangement exhibition, field trip etc.,

  1. Co-curricular activities

The college conducts the following co-curricular activities to help the students for all round personality development.

  • Educational tour – to give opportunity to students to see and understand the various places of historical importance and appreciate the diverse culture of India – to develop leadership quality in planning and administration.
  • Socially Useful Productive Work – opportunity for becoming self reliant and resourceful
  • School visits – an exposure to the functioning of different types of institutions and other organizations at different levels pertaining to the subjects in the curriculum
  • Community Work and Outreach programmes to inculcate service to society and reach out to the under privileged consequently inculcating the value of the dignity of labour.
  • Morning Assembly to inculcate discipline in thought, word and deed and to develop tolerence towards different faiths.
  • Remedial Teaching – Spoken English classes are conducted for students who experience difficulty in English usage. Simplified materials and extra classes for students requiring individual attention are provided.
  1. Adaption of School.

Our college has adopted the nearby school(Government higher Secondary School, Therkkutheru). Students are engaged in” Each One Teach One Programme” at every week during the academic year.

Students are conducting various teaching methodology to improve the slow learner of  the concern school with their wish.

Through this programme our institution helps to improve the quality of the education in adopted school.
